Solarstone presents Touchstone Remixed on Solaris Recordings
Last year Solarstone’s third longplayer put the proverbial torch to perceptions of what an EDM album should be. Through tracks like ‘Intravenous’, ‘The Best Way’, ‘Electric Love’, ‘Twisted Wing’ and its title track, Richard Mowatt displayed an ever-expanded artistic range. Erasing established genre lines it travelled across previously unmapped musical terrain. Now, a year on, its time to revisit that music.

(Released Thru Solaris Recordings January 23rd 2012)
“Lovin all the mixes. My favourite is the Elfsong mix. HUGE!!” – Armin van Buuren

Notably, on his TATW radio show, Paavo Siljamäki of Above & Beyond cited Orkidea as one of the reasons he started making trance music. Read more
Solarstone presents Electronic Architecture 2

While as long as many albums, the “side-project” nature of the work allows Rich to break away from exploring every corner of his psyche and just have a very good approach when it comes to a showcased album. There aren’t many left who doubt Solarstone’s skills in general, but those who might be concerned that an EA album means “pure art in its sound full-force of imagination” can rest easy. For a veteran who has seen it all come and go, longevity is to be applauded. Read more
