Episode 1 takes you behind the scenes with Mat at the O2 Academy Brixton, ahead of his set during Above & Beyond’s Group Therapy Easter Weekend in London alongside Sander Van Doorn and Above & Beyond themselves.
Next monday (14th May) also sees the release of Mat Zo’s latest single featuring Linnea Schossow “The Sky” (the Club Mix is featured in the video). Following on from the massive success of his Bipolar EP, Mat’s first vocal release showcases his unique talent for seamlessly blending house, progressive and trance influences, creating one of the anthems of the summer.

With his diverse four-track ‘The Bipolar EP’ priming itself for release, Anjunabeats rising star Mat Zo is embarking on his biggest tour of North America yet – including dates at San Francisco’s Ruby Skye, Toronto’s Guvernment, Denver’s Beta and Chicago’s Sound Bar. The 10-date tour will come to an end at Above & Beyond’s Group Therapy Miami party on Bayfront Park, site of the Ultra Music Festival, on Thursday, March 22 alongside Above & Beyond, Arty, Boom Jinx and Jaytech [#GroupTherapyMiami].

Interview with Mat Zo
1. Let me ask You this Matan, speaking from an artist perspective a lot of producers try sending you beats, in order to make remixes for them, especially when you are on the come up and on the grind. What do you look for in a beat, what type of sound you need ?
Mat Zo: I look for catchy elements or anything that sounds inspiring. When I do a remix I’m just trying to take something i like out of the original track and turn it into my own ideas.
2. Speaking about you as an artist, Dj, producer and remixer, what made you decide that you want to follow this road, the EDM industry ?
Mat Zo: I have always wanted to create music since I was little. When I got into producing and djing there was no doubt about it, this was what I wanted to do for a living. The fact that its slowly happening is a dream come true. Read more
