Juliet Star – TranceSound Festival 2011
She always wanted to be a dancer, She enjoyed dancing to the lovely sounds of progressive house and trance. Although she listened to EDM for many years, she never had a desire to DJ. Years passed and a couple of knee surguries later, she decided to focus on becoming a DJ and ending her dance life.
The transition from just dancing to the music, and wanting to play it instead, was a slow one. For a couple of years when she was learning on turntables she ended up turning them on only once every month or two. In January of 2010, something changed for her. Interview with SoundLift
First of all I would like to thank you for taking the time to share a little about yourself with the readers of TranceSound.net and all of your fans from around the world.
1. Tell us about how you came up with your name, SoundLift.
SoundLift: Well the name SoundLift is an idea to put together what I use to demonstrate my ideas and how I want to do it. Lifting the sound from the generic trance industry, giving it more feeling and emotion.
2. Describe to me the style of music you create.
SoundLift: My style of music is uplifting/emotional trance, I can describe it as a very melodic and enjoyable sound and I try to create a story from the beginning of the track to the end combining the beautiful natural landscapes and the meaning of trance (a journey).
