GRAMMY® nominated electronic musician, technologist and composer BT unveils his two-disc LAPTOP SYMPHONY (Black Hole Recordings) mix compilation on May 14th (digital) and June 11th (physical), 2012, globally. A face-melting, mind-altering collection of pristinely mixed tracks evocative of BT’s live shows of the same name, LAPTOP SYMPHONY is a must-have release for discerning EDM (electronic dance music) lovers. Disc-one is a snarling, growling assemblage of the nastiest, most sonically vicious dubstep, electro and breakbeats; disc-two is a victorious team of trance hits reimagined for today’s world-weary festival-goer.
Disc-one kicks-off with BT & Adam K’s “Tomahawk,” a blistering tune that’s been demonizing dubstep and electro-friendly shows across North America and Europe, before mainlining into Savoy’s “Kili” and then Wolfgang Gartner’s “Menage A Trois,” the latter a brutally syncopated aural assault. BT demonstrates that American bass music is alive-and-well, and that there’s an entire universe of exquisite electro-dubstep beyond Skrillex; annihilating pieces like Xilent’s “Choose Me II” and Porter Robinson & Lazy Rich ft Sue Cho’s “Hello” are perfect examples. Track after scorching track on disc-one, BT lays forth his master plan for moving bodies with heavy bass and obese beats not meant for the weak-of-heart. With the trance genre dividing and sub-dividing, rather than follow the fragmentation pack, in 2010 Solarstone diverted to record his concept album ‘Touchstone’. Now, two years on, he’s back with a new long-player and a new manifesto.
“I recorded this album as a reaction to all the riven division that’s crept into trance over the last 3 years. Daniel Wanrooy presents debut solo album “Slice Of Life”
After countless singles, remixes and an album release under the well known Progression guise, Daniel Wanrooy now moves on to a whole new level in his career and presents his debut solo album entitled “Slice Of Life”.
Daniel has been pretty busy in the midst of the recording sessions for his new album. While working on “Slice Of Life” he finished remix assignments for The Crystal Method, Super8 & Tab, JES and Thrillseekers and saw his earlier single “Endless Moments” secured by Ferry Corsten, who used it for his double mix compilation “Once Upon A Night, Vol.2”. The same happened with Betsie Larkin with Super8 & Tab’s “All We Have Is Now” in the Daniel Wanrooy remix, which Corsten grabbed for “Full On Ferry – Ibiza”.
If that wasn’t enough, Daniel also delivered his DJ mix for the “In Trance We Trust, Volume 14” mix compilation. Bookings poured in and Daniel performed in Brazil, Taiwan, South Africa and the U.K and in most European countries. This summer, Daniel will make his debut on Ibiza. Read more

BLACK HOLE RECORDINGS LAUNCHES CROWDSOURCING CAMPAIGN FOR NORTH AMERICAN CHAPTER of ‘RICHARD DURAND Vs THE WORLD’ ALBUM MARCH 26TH, 2012
In a bold move, globally acclaimed EDM (electronic dance music) DJ/producer Richard Durand and Black Hole Recordings are giving music fans a chance to have their very own track included on the North American installment of the earth-encompassing artist album, Richard Durand Vs The World (Black Hole)! With a total of five E.P.s – each E.P. representing one continent or region of the globe – the Richard Durand Vs North America (Black Hole) E.P. will feature three tracks: one track that is 100% composed by Richard Durand; a second track that is a collaboration between Richard Durand and a noteworthy North American artist; and the third track consisting of the “winning” submission as voted on by fans and the public. The crowdsourced competition is open to the general public and launches on March 26th, 2012. The submissions deadline for North America is April 23rd, 2012. The Richard Durand Vs North America E.P. will be officially released and available for retail purchase on May 21st, 2012. Contestants must use stems provided by Richard Durand, but beyond that, there’s no limit to the possibilities of one’s imagination. This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for budding singers, songwriters and/or producers!
