Sander van Doorn presents Dusk till Doorn
If you have never heard of Sander van Doorn, now is your chance! His latest album, "Dusk Till Doorn", gives listeners an extensive two-hour guide through the music behind the number ten DJ in the world. And if you are already a Doorn fan this compilation will bring those club evenings of Sander to life.

Sander begins disc one assuring us that 'we are not alone' with Mason's "You Are Not Alone" as we begin the journey from "Dusk till Doorn". Jeremy Oleander's "Ganza" and East & Young's "Lifelike" eases into a smooth and small build up for what's to come ahead. By the fourth track your feet should be aboard. Adrian Lux's "Teenage Crime" remixed by Axwell & Hedndrik B was chosen well to transition into the next few tracks.

As the disc begins to thicken, you'll 'bungee' right into Afrojack & Bobby Burns. "Crash the Disco" by Abel Ramos reminds one of the circular lights, fog machines, and the occasion whistle. Which is why it's the perfect opener for Sander's own take on the Four Top's 60's hit "Reach Out". The album curves into a powerful uplifting mode with outstanding club hits of the summer from the likes of Stoneface & Terminal, Soundshaperz, Nic Chagall, Rank1, & Wippenberg, and last, but certainly not least, Memento featuring Ken Spencer "Enjoy the Silence".

Although Sander is more known for his deeper side, there are a few progressive tracks that catch his attention. These include Deep Care with a superb tune called "Vertigo" and the harmonic style of Proculture's "Naked". Ending disc one is Sander's very own deep treasure "Overflow" along with the mind-blowing "My Journey" by Jean Claude Ades.

The sun has settled down and it is now time to tap into the darkness. No better way to embrace the black than with yellow; "Black Is the New Yellow" to be exact.

Naturally, this compilation would not be complete without Sander's Purple Haze classic: "Hymn 2.0".

Among the deep progressive fields you will hear an angelic voice sung by non other than Fisher representing another summer hit, "Found A Way", with Jon O'Bir. Mat Zo and Marco V. transition straight into the tech arena with "24 Hours" of "Zero One". Things quickly heat up as Radion 6 & Sied van Riel's "Radiator" continues to keep the blood flowing.

Among Sander's endless taste (and my personal favorite of choice) Ummet Ozcan's "Arcadia" embraces the Native American vocals and the signal that the sun is approaching the dance floor. Yet there is still no need to turn the volume down. Deep Voices emerge with "Heart of Glass", a chilling vocal tune remixed by Ronski Speed. Leon Boiler "Avalanches" the vibrations of sound in addition to the likes of Rex Mundi and Svenson & Gielen. Just before "Doorn" Sander breaks out the most memorable, "Daddyrock"; an uplifting techy production that by far exceeds expectations and reminds us of earlier Gatecrasher anthems.

The night may be over but you will be able to re-visit a stellar set anytime. This compilation is certainly high on the list of this year's top albums and I recommend purchasing more than one copy in case you out play the first one.
