Musical Madness - the artist album
As a producer Marcel Woods has long been regarded as one of the most respected artists in his field, equally at home penning crossover anthems such as 'Advanced' and 'Cherry Blossom' as well as a steady flow of hit underground club cuts that are given regular heavy playlist support from the likes of Tiesto, Armin van Buuren, Sander van Doorn, Judge Jules and Eddie Halliwell. Much of this success can be attributed to the unique sound and style that booms out from Marcel's studio in Eindhoven - it's a little bit house, electro, techno and trance. It's that Woods sound - it's Musical Madness.
With such an impressive and extensive discography, it's amazing that Marcel Woods has never set aside the time to write a dedicated artist album… until now. In fact with most of the material now complete, High Contrast Recordings have set a May release date for the next chapter in Marcel's 'Musical Madness'.
Studio news - remixes for Tiesto & Zombie Nation
Besides working on the new album material, Marcel Woods has also recently added his magic touch to two big remixes. It's very rare for Marcel to take up remix offers, but when the mighty Tiesto put in a request for a remix, having played all of Marcel's productions in 2009, it was hardly a project to turn down! The resulting remix of 'Escape Me' is quite simply massive peak time dancefloor material with Marcel's booming beats complimenting the melancholic vocals of CC Sheffield. Marcel's only other remix project of 2009 proved to be one of the summer's biggest underground anthems as he reworked the massive Zombie Nation 'Kernkraft 400' into a savage sounding slab of tech trance.
