Interview with Cosmic Gate
    1. Well, welcome back guys - You were definitely missed! What have You been doing lately ?

Cosmic Gate: We have been DJ'ing and been in the studio, did some remixes, so our usual stuff.

    2. How does the fourth outing differ and/or compare to previous compilation series ?

Cosmic Gate: B2B always gives an idea about the current DJ sound we play, and also the fourth chapter is definitely a help for people that do not have to chance to hear us Dj live in a club.

    3. Who all did You enlist in regards to the record's production ?

Cosmic Gate: The production is done by us for 100%, no one else is involved in the production, it's 100 % Cosmic Gate.

    4. So, do You have any personal favorite track(s) ? If so, why that/those particular one(s) ?

Cosmic Gate: We like all the tracks on the album, otherwise they would not be on 4 sure, hard to pick out one to put over the others, we prefer people to listen to the mix and let us know their favorite...

    5. How long it took You guys, to gather all the tracks for both CDs ?

Cosmic Gate: We have been compiling for about 8 weeks, listening to maybe about 500 tracks, ended up on 50 and brought them together to the final 28 you listen to on B2B 4.

    6. Is there a favorite label You guys wanted to highlight on Your actual compilation ?

Cosmic Gate: There is a wide range of labels on here, not fair to mention just one, and we want to say thanks a lot here for the support we received from all of them to make this Mix CD possible!

    7. Besides working on "Back 2 Back" series, I know over the course of the last couple of years there have been an amazing compilation so far. Are there still plans for some other projects that will involve Cosmic Gate, such a future album, EP ?

Cosmic Gate: Like we said before, we are constantly touring and also in the studio, there are plans for a new single before the summer which will be "London Rain", and after the summer we have some new ideas too, we will talk about this in the next interview here!

    8. Take me back to the beginning of "Back 2 Back" please... When did You all first become interested in this compilation ?

Cosmic Gate: We started back in 2003 with it, unbelievable is so long ago already. We wanted to give people a chance to listen to our Dj sound also at home and not only when being in a club, that was the idea behind it back in the times, and we still like it so many years after.

    9. With that being said, describe for me Your overall B2B 4 musical vibe ?

Cosmic Gate: We always try to build up a vibe like in one of our sets, starting with more melodic and Progressive tunes to build up a vibe, and at the end push it a little harder, pretty similar to how we build a Dj set.

    10. As songwriters, do You all usually write individually or collectively ? And, what is the inspiration behind Your lyrics ?

Cosmic Gate: We write the music, and we have song writers or singers to write the lyrics on top of our production, it's a give and take between them and us, very inspirational!

    11. Despite the movie, what inspired You for the remix of AVATAR's "I See You" ?

Cosmic Gate: The movie was a big inspiration for sure, and that's where we started the mix from, no more inspiration needed than this fantastic movie!

    12. Your first major maneuver of 2010, "Barra" released on Black Hole Recordings, what's the message behind it ?

Cosmic Gate: "Barra" is inspired and named after that beautiful place in the City of Rio de Janeiro that we spend our time while mixing B2B 4.

    13. Any future projects in the world of Bossi and Nic Chagall as Cosmic Gate ?

Cosmic Gate: As briefly mentioned before, we have some plans for a new "thing" to be released after the summer, we keep you guys posted when the time is right!

    14. Do you have any final thoughts ? Any last words for the TranceSound.net readers or anyone reading this interview ?

Cosmic Gate: Thank you for the support, and we hope that many of the readers enjoy B2B4 or support us on one of our gigs somewhere around the globe!
