Interview with ATB
    1. You have released Your latest installment "Sunset Beach DJ Session" on Napith Music. What 'behind the scene' information can You reveal about it ?

ATB: "Sunset Beach DJ Session" it is the first time that I would like to give the listener an insight into the music they can expect at a beach party with me, which of course is a little different than one of my club gigs. So the task of selecting the tracks and mixing these two sets was new for me and a very interesting challenge. I hope the people like the result and will be able to feel my intentions of catching and recreating the feeling of the sun, the ocean and the sand.

    2. Do You have any long term projects with this venture and if so, what's next on Napith Music for You ?

ATB: Yes, I plan to release this compilation series every year, but my next big project is definitely my new album. Currently I am collecting new ideas for it, and plan to finalize and produce it at the end of the year. So it will be available on Napith Music at the beginning of next year.

    3. With Your previous compilations, shouldn't it be called "The DJ 6 in the Mix" ? Why "Sunset Beach DJ Session" all of a sudden ?

ATB: Well, I think both compilation series are not comparable. The people who already know my "ATB THE DJ" compilations know that each of this editions gives an unique insight into my style and what kind of music they can expect when going to one of my club gigs. "Sunset Beach DJ Session" is a little bit different. For me it was very important that when I listen to the sets on the compilation and close my eyes I can feel and visualize myself to be at a wonderful beach, being part of a great beach party. I think every track on the compilation provides the perfect soundtrack to such beautiful moments, and I hope the people will feel the same way when they listen to it. So I decide to make it to a new compilation series.

    4. To my knowledge, You are no longer signed to the German Kontor Records company. Correct ?

ATB: No, this is totally wrong. I work successfully with Kontor Records since many years. Only just at the middle of the year we have extend my record contract without any changes. It's one of the most famous electronic record companies in Europe. At the beginning of the year they are going into a partnership with Armada and in this connection also with Napith Music, which is a subsidiary of both of this record companies. So my latest compilation as well as my upcoming productions will be released at Napith music.

    5. Las Vegas sees You for the entire month of August. Right ? Please elaborate that for us, thanks

ATB: I take over four exclusive dates of Paul Oakenfold's Perfecto nights in Rain Nightclub, Palms Hotel every Saturday in August. To be honest I was really surprised when my management got a call from the n9ne group where they asked if I would like to make a summer residence at the Perfecto night. Of course I didn't have to think about very long and gladly accepted the offer. I think of all cities around the globe Las Vegas is the one with the highest quality of entertainment, and I am very proud to be a part of this entertainment world during my four weeks at the Rain. This Saturday I will close my residency and looking forward to an unforgettable party again. All previous dates were totally sold out, so I hope I get the chance to celebrate with a burst at the seams club again.

    6. Will You be going out on the road to support the compilation ?

ATB: Yes, I will be on tour in the US for weeks in September and October. I don't have the fixed dates right now, but I will play in Phoenix, Los Angeles, Sacramento, San Francisco, Seattle, Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton, Saskatoon, Indianapolis, Minneapolis and Chicago. I will release the full schedule as soon as it's confirmed at my webpage.

    7. Let's get back to talking about music. You will be returning to New York in September for another set at the Electric Zoo festival. You were one of the DJs who played last year at the festivals inaugural edition. What were Your thoughts on the festival last year ? How does it compare to other festivals in other cities ?

ATB: Playing at the Electric Zoo festival last year was a real honour and one of the best gigs last year. To play open air in the middle of such a wonderful city like New York is really something special and a totally amazing experience. There is no other city in the world comparable with the beautiful feelings and skyline of New York. It's really unique.

    8. Let's talk about this new exquisite single of Yours "Could You Believe".

ATB: I'm really happy about the success of the single, especially in the US. As far as I know it's currently #28 of the Billboard Club Play Chart. Thank you all for this massive support!
