Aerotek - February 2010 updates
The Chilean based electronic audio producer, sound designer and DJ Stefano Giangrandi, better known as Aerotek, will be releasing 2 EP's the first week of march. Added to the recent release of his remix for Marcie - Secret, this year seems to be a total Aerotek overload!

With several top notch choones under his belt, released under his own Transtechnia label, Stefano is one of the most well known upcoming artist in Santiago, Chile following his dream, living his dream, he is just about to sharing the same dream with You all, with his unique and cutting edge Trance sound, he is willing to keep himself busy for the rest of the year and from now on.

    1. The Spring Breeze EP

Aerotek's first attempt to create balearic/progressive house was succesful, and after several months of work and trial and error, he came up with 3 songs that fit the genre perfectly.

The first song, Shimmering Airwaves, is a track reminiscent of tropical beaches. It possess smooth, progressive sounds that sound fresh as the ocean, yet have the power to make you dance on the sand. The second tune is the song that titles the EP: Spring Breeze. An extremely balearic song, where the chords lead the track up and down, along with soothing synth strings and vocals. As soon as you enter the breakdown, a change in the melody takes the listener through a new path. The third song is a tropical and urban-tasting song, titled Lucuma. "Lúcuma is a song that defines completely what I was living the moment I made it. It's a deeply urban yet warm song, just like Santiago was the day I made it. I am pleased with the sound I obtained when I was making it. It is me and January 2010 on a song." says Aerotek, deep into his thoughts.

The Spring Breeze EP will be released on exclusive on Audiojelly on March 3rd, and on the rest of the world the 15th.

    Azul Impacto EP

Last year, Aerotek began research on a particular ability he possess, called Synaesthesia. This consists, in this particular case, in being able to literally 'see' the music. Aerotek has been able to do this since he was a little boy, but he just recently accepted his condition as a synaesthetic and began using it at full for musical purposes.

He began developing his synaesthetic abilities and soon discovered how to manipulate 'the color of sound' and began experimenting. What he finally obtained was a blue disk, with 4 songs, and a red disk, with 7 songs. The blue disk became Azul Impacto.

Azul Impacto begins with the song that titled the EP. Azul Impacto is an uplifting / progressive trance masterpiece with an epic breakdown and trancey chopped-up vocals. Everything fits into place in this awesome song. The second song of the EP is the Radio Edit of Azul Impacto, which brings immediate trance action to the listener in a shorter version of the original one.

The third song is Aquadynamic, a progressive house piece with a very dirty bassline. Even if the first impression is that of an electro track, as it progresses, the song evolves into a progressive house song with a breathtaking breakdown and awesome melodies. It's sharp, fresh and danceable to death.

To end the EP Aerotek included his downtempo song Antifreeze Overdose. Evidently his skills on Sound Design were used here at full to bring a song that definitely stands out from the rest. Amazing percussion and FX, superb ensembles and drum lines make this short song a must.

Azul Impacto EP will be released on exclusive on Audiojelly on March 5th, and world widely on March 17th.
