Balearic pearl Ibiza is without a doubt the worlds clubbing capital during the summer. Hundreds of thousands of party minded people gather on the magical island every year to visit the numerous super clubs and see the biggest global DJ stars perform. One of the best known clubs on Ibiza, Privilege, has been traditionally releasing its own summer compilation over the years. A tradition which is being continued this year with the release of "Privilege Ibiza 2009 - Mixed By Cosmic Gate & Hardwell", in stores as of Thursday the 25th of June 2009.
Privilege - The club
Privilege, situated in San Rafael in between Ibiza Town and San Antonio, is with its massive 10.000 visitor capacity officially the biggest club in the world, according to the Guinness Book Of Records. Privilege became a worldwide legend due to the insanely popular Manumission nights, held at Privilege for fourteen consecutive years. In 2008, Tiësto announced to be the new resident of Privilege with weekly performances on the Monday during the whole Ibiza summer season. The Privilege main room has the size of a super sized airplane hangar and holds a gigantic swimming pool.
CD1 - Mixed by Cosmic Gate
These German grand masters of trance, responsible for compiling and mixing the tracks for disc one, were already recent highlights in the media because of the release of their fourth artist album "Sign Of The Times". Keeping the Balearic vibe in the back of their heads, Stefan "Bossi" Bossems and Claus "Nic Chagall" Terhoeven selected fourteen tracks containing a pinch of that distinctive sunny Balearic feeling. Heavenly trance tracks produced by none the less than i.e. Mark Norman, Wippenberg, Moonbeam and of course Cosmic Gate, suitable for either rocking the dance floor or taking it easy in a trendy beach club.
CD2 - Mixed by Hardwell
Hardwell is without a doubt one of the most successful and talented house producers/DJ's emerged out of the "new" generation. A packed agenda, high profile productions, remixes and co-remixes/productions with super talent Rehab delivered Hardwell tons of respect from both the music buyers as well as his colleague producers. Next to his own exclusive productions, Hardwell selected the very best from colleagues such as Funkerman, Fedde Le Grand, Kid Massive and many more for disc no. 2.
With these artists combined on one double CD compilation, "Privilege Ibiza 2009" captures Ibiza's two most popular music styles and the essence of the Privilege itself on one CD release.
