    RICHARD DURANT - WEEP
    RELEASED: 8TH SEPTEMBER 2008
    LABEL: PERFECTO

The legendary Perfecto Records return on 8th September with the release of "Weep", a stunning trance workout by one of the genre's true rising stars, Dutch DJ/Producer Richard Durant. This release is made particularly special as it is features the unmistakable vocals of Skin from Skunk Anansie, taken from their 1997 hit "Brazen (Weep)".

Amsterdam based Dj and producer Richard Durant, has seen his profile rising steadily over the past couple of years thanks to a run of consistently high quality releases. His massive remixes of Tiesto hits "Break My Fall", Lethal Industry" and "Flight 643", as well as his remix of current no.1 DJ Armin van Buuren's latest track "In And Out Of Love" have seen him knocking at the door of the trance elite. His status was proved recently when he was invited to co-host the Judge Jules Show on Radio 1 and to deliver his first Essential Mix.

"Weep" came to life as a track and was showcased on the road by Richard Durant in early 2008. Paul Oakenfold heard the track at a gig and pounced on Richard's CD copy. Support soon began to flood in from the world's biggest DJ's, including Tiesto, Armin van Buuren, Judge Jules and Sander Van Doorn.

The Club Mix is a tough trance workout, using the vocal to great effect in the euphoric breakdown alongside giant synth riffs designed to create dancefloor mayhem. The Sundown (H2) Mix slows things down a bit and adds a progressive and percussive slant on the track, while the Dub Mix takes a different direction, messing with your head as it distorts the vocal and introduced a twisted, warped bass effect that will seriously test the best club soundsystem.

With "Weep" Richard Durant has created a flawlessly produced trance classic with a vocal that remains as expressive now as it was the day it was first recorded. Expect more quality dancefloor moments from Perfecto Records in the reminder of 2008.
