Jay Lumen on first place: from Dubai to the top of Beatport!!! ( 06.07.2008 - 17:00 GMT UTC )
Jay Lumen raced from Dubai directly to the top of the Beatport’s sale list. Of course only in a figurative sense but it is a fact that the young DJ/Producer was just playing in Dubai when he got to know that his latest track „Calypso” - both released in vinyl and digital form - became the number one of Beatport’s style top list..
Last Thursday Jay Lumen was invited by Dubai’s hottest elite club, „Alpha”, which can be found inside the territory of the five-stared Le Meridien Hotel. Lots of artists, like Scope, Jimpster or 16Bit Lolitas were already presented by the organizers of the place, and now they were hankering after Jay’s 3 hours’ DJ set. Moreover, he was asked for an exclusive interview and a half hour bonus set for Dubai’s number one FM radio, Radio One.
The party made a great success. Actually, the audience enjoyed it so much that it was really hard to stop the night at 3 a.m., according to Dubai’s law.
No wonder that Jay’s mood was really high after those fantastic news he got. It was even in Dubai where the DJ/Producer was informed about „Calypso’s” leading place on the sale top list of the biggest electronic-musical store.
Well, yes.. Jay Lumens’ fresh new track is making an unbelievable success. However, we could easily suspect from the news and DJ charts that the track has turned to be a club anthem in several clubs of the world, but now this success is supported by the sale lists. „Calypso” has reached the number one position in the Beatport’s progressive chart!!! In the summary it has the 12th place, which means that Jay’s work stays rightly in this notable position, considering every song and musical style released under the aegis of Beatport’s digital store. In fact it precedes almost every significant DJs/Producers’ work.
Here we can mention such names as Booka Shade, Dubfire (Deep Dish), Deadmau5, Delerium, Laidback Luke, Adam Beyer, Shlomi Aber, Loco Dice, Sebastien Leger, Popof, Steve Lawler, Guy Gerber, or Manuel Tur… Thus no wonder why he commented the happenings a little bit hardly..
„Unbelievable feelin’” – he said –
„Dubai was great, actually, the whole atmosphere, the circumstances.. but this info made it much more wonderful. Such times I feel that all the energy I have devoted into it has a great sense and while I really enjoy what I’m doing, I also make pleasure for other people. Frankly, it makes me aware that I’ve so many aims to reach in the future.”
In this moment it is Jay Lumen who owns the Anjunadeep’s most successful release, but as we can see he will appear in many new areas. Well, wish him good luck in his way..
