1. Please introduce Yourself to the people of TranceSound.net or anyone reading this exclusive interview, thanks.
Alex Kunnari: My name is Alex Kunnari and I was born in 1974... I have played tunes since 1989 so quite close to 20 years...
2. You started your career very young person, we would like to know how did you find the inspiration to become a producer and how has it influenced your life ?
Alex Kunnari: Well like I said before I have played for a long time and I have never even thought that I could do something else in my life. I have always got my inspiration from the various music which I play. All my life is around the music so I think it has influenced a lot of my life generally.
3. So far we know You well enough, due as Your own description, but can You please give us a breakdown of Your own music, what kind of style You adopt aswell ?
Alex Kunnari: Well I never think that only one style is the main issue I think that the music is universal and you should listen to different styles. When you listen to many styles you get more ideas to your own music and that's how I do.
4. You have your own club, how do you feel having a direct connection with the people through it ? Does it give you good inspiration and hints for your production ? Tell us about this club, please.
Alex Kunnari: Colors is a club which I have done with my good mate called DJ Käpä from the first point. Our idea has been the same from the day when we started. Our passion is making club events for all people who likes club music. Now we have 9 years behind us, and I think we have done a good job for our clubbers during these years.
5. You have been playing in many countries, what place have you found to be the best for the party climate ? What made that part of the world special ?
Alex Kunnari: Well there are many places to mention but I still think in my heart that it is still Ibiza. I think that it is because of the clubbers who travel around the world just to see djs and listen to good music. They make Ibiza dance...
6. There are various of genres that will come more popular in the future, do you have any new genres that you have found interesting to produce ?
Alex Kunnari: Well I think I will stay in my own style and own way and I hope that clubbers like my tunes now and in the future.
7. You are well known for your trance music and the great tunes of that genre, how do you feel about trance music in general ?
Alex Kunnari: Everyone is saying that Trance music is coming back but hey it has never even left... There are many good producers around which make our style more interesting for listeners.
8. I know that for a fact one of your latest track called 'Lifter' it took You a lot of time in order to release it, even though, it had been hammered by well known Djs like Dj Tiesto, Armin van Buuren, Ferry Corsten, Paul van Dyk, the BBC Radio 1 superstar Judge Jules aswell and many more... Why took you so long ?
Alex Kunnari: It took a while for me to find the right label which was also at the same time good for me to work in a long term. I'm more than happy that I find a good home from the mate called Tiesto who owns the Black Hole recordings.
9. How did you end up collaborating with Mica Keisha, Paul Webster and Jonas Haymow for remixing 'Lifter' which had been released on Black Hole Records ?
Alex Kunnari: Well I know the guys quite well and I just simply asked them to remix my tune and they all said yes why not.
10. What is Your relationship with Dj Tiesto and what does it mean to have him co-sign You on Black Hole Records for 'Lifter' ?
Alex Kunnari: I know him quite well. I have played with him many times and he is a nice person. It means many things for me and specially for my future.
11. Let's go back in time for a minute, going back in the days Alex and please share with us further details about one of Your well known alias 'Modulation' and what tracks had been released under this name ?
Alex Kunnari: I have released tunes called, "Darks Star", "Spirits", "Sky", and "White Flame" under the name Modulation. Those tunes has gone quite well and all the major djs have played tunes on their sets like Paul van Dyk, Judge Jules, Ferry Corsten, Tiesto, Armin van Buuren etc.
12. Do you have any future plans that you may share information about and is there anything special you would like to share to your fans and people who are reading this interview ?
Alex Kunnari: Thanks to you all who likes my tunes and dj sets and I hope we will see soon… I have two new tunes coming out soon from Tiesto's Black Hole recordings.
