02.08.08 near the village Tuutari was the biggest open-air of summer in 2008, the one and only: Global Gathering! The ones behind this huge and well known worldwide event, was Dance Planet from Russia and Angel Music Group from United Kingdom. There were 3 stages with the most wanted Djs such as: Above and Beyond (#6 in DJMAG Top 100 in 2007), James Zabiela (who is the leader in work with equipment), Marcel Woods (author of the Trance Energy anthem), Armand van Helden (person who created tendencies in modern house music), Dubfire (one of Deep Dish, who already has a Grammy).
All of them together with Menno de Jong, Sander van Doorn, Mark Eteson, Sean Tyas, Josh Gabriel, Mylo, Fonar, Mason, Mandy, Etienne de Crecy, Micky Slim, John Acquaviva played all the night and gave the pleasure for all clubbers who had the chance to attend, not Saint Petersburg. There were a lot of people from many Russian cities. This was real the Global Gathering!
As you know there were 3 dance floors: main, global (trance) and electric. Interactive zone was between them. There people could do make up, could learn how to mix music, could draw graffiti and also play games for Playstation. The event atmosphere was great: airplanes with skydivers were in the air, sunflowers were in the corners and also in the bars. Clubbers arrived to the festival by Global Gathering buses from Saint Petersburg. Everybody could download an interesting festival's content on cell-phone by bluetooth. Also there was an opportunity to buy Global Gathering T-shirts, badge holders, key tags aswell, CDs and not only. Even the weather was in trance: there was only one small short term rain. Happiness was every where!
