Over the past year, the Italian producers delivered many more singles like “Biogenesis”, which was used on the DJ SL’s Nordic Edition of In Trance we Trust and “Alternative Route”, “V.I.P” and “Carved”, which successively all found their way to the three editions Mr Sam’s “Opus” mix compilations.

Moonbeam presents Space Odyssey released on Black Hole Recordings
Ever since they stormed DJ Mag's Top100 poll last year, brothers Pavel and Vitaly Khavleev a.k.a. Moonbeam can count themselves amongst the biggest music exponents of Russian dance music. The release of their reputation defining first album "Around The World" harvested the hit singles "Song For A Girl", "Breathless" and "Look Around". The two now continue to widen their sonic horizon for their debut mix compilation "Space Odyssey" on Black Hole Recordings with a fabric of different styles. Moonbeam's "Space Odyssey" makes it clear that the boys want to break the boundaries between techno, trance and electronica. From their own hit singles they move to solid, atmospheric techno and smoky, charged trance sounds. And considering the entire mix, the duo clearly cares about being innovative. "Space Odyssey" tells the story of urging rhythms, modulated bass lines and Moonbeam's affection for melody and somewhat eerie vocals; exactly as in their outstanding live performances.

Roger Shah aka Sunlounger presents - A beach side of life
Coming strong in 2010, Sunlounger offers the third chapter, a new glimpse of "pleasure island" in his own way. The album, divided in two amazing parts, downtempo and uptempo has the best of intentions to achieve his goal of bringing skills, making similar genre-bending efforts, that simultaneously manages to keep the same sound and style that we all got used to for some good years by now. In a way, Sunlounger and friends comes back, remaining surprisingly the same as we know him, giving thoughtful track names about life in a place that only imagination or dreams can get to, in a world where most listeners would rather live. On his latest full-length offering, "The Beach Side of Life", the Ibiza veteran gladly demonstrates his immense musical skills with otherworldly wisdom reserved for a grown-folks audience. Only Roger Shah can match the sound of Las Salinas, being well known for it for so many years. In the end, Sunlounger keeps it real in ways that many can’t and for that, Trance music with a bit of Balearic is so much better for it. Now, that’s something worth writing about it, therefore I can easily start all over again, but will leave that for some other time, perhaps a 4th album in the making ?

DJ PJ presents Mayhem - A New Kind of Mix
Pete Thiele is better known as DJ PJ and no he doesn’t sport pajamas, although for the lady listeners it is highly suggested. He takes pride in his appearance as he does his talent. With the releasing his first album, Mayhem, he has every reason to be proud. As one of Charleston, South Carolina’s most energetic DJ’s, PJ favors the more electro-house style, although he has been known to keep some progressive flavor in the mix. Mayhem is a ridiculous combination of 55 tracks from a variety of genres to keep any night flowing well into morning. Each “track” contains roughly four to five singles well within the 5th key range. Although naming each one would take the fun out of truly enjoying the album. Written by: Abigail Duran aka VeraNationGirl (TranceSound.net Head of PR)
