Interview with The Thrillseekers    ( 28.09.2007 - 18:20 GMT UTC )

Thank you for agreeing to have this interview with TranceSound.net

    The Thrillseekers: My pleasure, Zaneta!

    1. You recently came to New York City to play at Club Love. How did you find it ?

The Thrillseekers: I always look forward to playing in the States as the crowds are always so up for it. Love was no exception of course - the crowd was great. I had a few technical issues in the booth, which proved quite challenging for me, but all-in-all I had a top night !

    2. What other countries are you looking forward to performing on your Night Music Volume 2 Tour ?

The Thrillseekers: I can’t wait to return to Australia in late September/October. The clubs down there are phenomenal, as are the clubbers that pack the floors. As it’s on the opposite side of the planet from where I live in the UK, it only makes sense to go to for 2 weeks, so I get to spend some time in-between gigs taking in a few sights. I’m also looking forward to playing in Indonesia, Finland and Estonia later in the year.

    3. What track do you plan to release as your next single, and when is it due to be released ?

The Thrillseekers: I have 3 new tracks which are about to be completed, but I haven’t decided which I will release in the future. Next to be released on my label, Adjusted, is The Thrillseekers ‘Remixed EP’. For this project I asked some of my favourite producers to remix any one of my tracks. Mind One opted to remix "By Your Side", while Mike Koglin and Misja vs Japer have both remixed "NewLife". The mixes should be hitting the airwaves over the coming weeks.

    4. During the launch of your label Adjusted Music did you come across any difficulties in getting yourself established ?

The Thrillseekers: We had some great releases to kick start the label, including remixes from Ferry Corsten and Paul Van Dyk, so that really helped to get us noticed I think. I asked a good friend of mine, Tim Stark, to manage certain aspects of the label. Tim had had many years experience in label management, so knew what needed to be done.

    5. How do you go about finding new talent to sign to your label, and do you accept demos ?

The Thrillseekers: As a Dj I am sent hundreds of tunes every month, many of which are unsigned and looking for a home. Occasionally a really great tune comes along that we end up signing. Demos can be submitted to jay@adjustedmusic.com and please send a link to a 320kbps MP3.

    6. Can we expect any further releases from you or collaborative efforts from some of your other aliases in the future such as En-Motion, Insigma, and Rapid Eye ?

The Thrillseekers: I plan to focus on Thrillseekers productions for the time being, but who knows what the future holds !

    7. Can you tell us about any new upcoming projects that you are working on ?

The Thrillseekers: I have been writing tracks for an artist album over the past year. If all goes to plan, it should be ready for release in the 1st half of next year.

    8. Are there any plans in the works for you to have your own radio show in the future ?

The Thrillseekers: To be honest, it’s not something I have any interest in. I love to play in the clubs, but presenting a radio show just isn’t for me.

    9. Who are some of your favorite vocalists to work with thus far, and do you have any open opportunities for vocalists for future endeavors ?

The Thrillseekers: I typically look for new, undiscovered vocalists to feature on my productions, so yes I’m always on the lookout for interesting, new singers. I couldn’t possibly pick a favourite from the vocalists I’ve worked with so far – they have all been amazing!

    10. Who or what are some of your influences and inspirations for producing tracks ?

The Thrillseekers: I was heavily influenced by synth pop throughout the eighties. Some of the bands I was really into included Depeche Mode, Yazoo, Erasure (anyone spot a common link here!) and New Order. Vangelis has also been a big influence. My inspiration usually comes from significant life events, or from nature. I love to spend time in the mountains, away from the fast pace of city life. I find the energy in such places to be very inspiring.

Thanks again for having this interview with me.
