1. Please introduce Yourself and tell us who Ronski Speed is as an artist.
Ronski Speed: Hey, this is ronski speed dj, producer from germany.
2. What hardware do you use for mixing and producing ? What does your set up look like including computer type, mixer, turntables, and any other hardware ?
Ronski Speed: In the Studio you will find, both Hard and Software, all this components also influence the music and productions. You will always find a PC with Cubase as sequencer. Hardware like Access Virus B, JV 2080 and 1080, Korg Prophecy, Korg Trinity, Walldorf Microwave 2, Yamaha AN1X, some Effects, digital Mixer and some more stuff.
3. What is his favourite food mate ?
Ronski Speed: Chicken wings.
4. What other genre beside trance do You listen to ?
Ronski Speed: Rock and Pop Music like Goo goo dolls, Stereophonics or Nada Surf.
5. What is Your all time favourite tracks, including Yours too
Ronski Speed: For Shure is BT & Paul Van Dyks & Flaming June one absolutely classic also all the first 2 Chicane Albums. Ronski Speed Productions will always be Sun Decades & I`m Alone in my heart.
6. What did You listen to before becoming a trance dj and artists ?
Ronski Speed: The Dance Music from beginning of the '80s & '90s until today. Classics like Technotronic, Inner city, Cosmic Baby, Humate, New order, Pet Shop Boys, Depeche Mode. There are so many to mention.
7. Which set was the longest that You ever played ?
Ronski Speed: Thats too hard to say, there were already some nights of playing more than 5 or 6 hours.
8. What inspired you to start producing and was it the same inspiration that made you start DJing ?
Ronski Speed: Starting was no problem, already at shool there was a demand for this. After this I played in Club and discotheques in east germany. Later on it becomes more international. Usually the are no real inspirations, just playing along with some synths and lines and then the feeling for a good idea comes.
9. What country or clubs in particular do you like spinning at the most ?
Ronski Speed: I personally really love Poland, Mexico, Australia and the United States of America. The reactions there are always amazing and the countries are really interesting.
10. Which producers often send you promotional copies of they're tracks before they are released ?
Ronski Speed: Oh, that are so many. It's a very nice thing to get this promo and exclusive stuff. This makes dj-ing very easy.
11. Unless this is not a personal question.. Are you currently involved in a relationship ? Like single, married ?
Ronski Speed: Relationship, hopefully for a long time.
12. Would you ever consider moving overseas ? If so, then where ?
Ronski Speed: Not really, Germany is great country although many people don't think so. The environment u can live you will hardly find anywhere over the world. I still live in east germany and love it here.
13. Do you have your own home or commercial studio ?
Ronski Speed: I have a home studio to find some inspiration and a commercial studio for producing.
14. Which vocalists have you had the pleasure of working with and which were your favorites and why ?
Ronski Speed: For shure there will always be a dream to work with such great singers like Neil Tennant or Bernhard Summer, their voices are my most favorites for years.
15. What type of interaction do you like to have with the crowd at an event ?
Ronski Speed: It`s nice to shake hands with the people and make photo’s. It is cool to see that the music depends to the peoples lives. Thats an amazing feel.
