1. Who is Manuel le Saux? Describe what you do and exactly why you areso famous in a few lines.

    Manuel Le Saux: Manuel le Saux is an Italian dj/producer who borned in far 1976 , and started my career in 1989 as dj in a big club called Palladium in Rrome, Italy, where I've played for 10years. At the start of 2000 I've started playing in some internet radio till I've started the showcalled "top twenty tunes" in 2003 which is my famous radio show on etn.fm and I've produced some trax which were supported from top djs. and that the reason why I'm a well know Dj lately (famous is a big word at the moment)

2. How did you get started on DJing ? What motivated you and what are Your memories of the musical landscape that you grew up in and were your family musical ?

    Manuel Le Saux: Started for joke in 1989 till I saw that music is all my life. musicians changed these years and that's normal but I always played melodic music. No one from my familyis musician I'm te first

3. What age were You when You got Your 1st pair of decks and what was your style and what`s the first record you can remember dancing to, when and where ?

    Manuel Le Saux: 15 years old and to be honest in dont remember which was my first vinyl..... too many years ago

4. What do You think of trance music in it's current state and where do You think it's going ?

    Manuel Le Saux: Trance is still alive, there is alot kind of trance lately, upliftingtrance, progressive trance, hard trance... dunno where it's going but I think trance will never die

5. What jobs did You do before You became involved in music ?

    Manuel Le Saux: I was a simply student

6. Have you ever played accross the ocean or how would You compare the atmosphere from other countries in Europe/The world to the Italian one ?

    Manuel Le Saux: Never been in America, I hope to play there very soon, I've played around Europe lately, Holland, Germany, Turkey, Norway... the atmosphere changes everytime .... every party has its story, its feeling, everytime I try to make my perfomance special and people very time liked it... I think that everybody who loves trance can let the dj feel great

7. What is Your dream gig ?

    Manuel Le Saux: I hope to play in one of these big event

8. This might be a battered question but, which do You think is better, CDs or Vynil and why ? Do You think vynil will ever die ?

    Manuel Le Saux: I've started with vinyl so I love VINYL!! but CD is the future (my bad)...

9. What do You mix with, vynil or CD ?

    Manuel Le Saux: Both... since I get alot of prmo CDs from the label

10. What are Your favourite decks ?

    Manuel Le Saux: 2x cdj1000 + 2x 1210 + pioneer djm600

11. Do You have a favourite Dj and if that so, who is it ?

    Manuel Le Saux: Ops... secret

12. Who or what inspires You ?

    Manuel Le Saux: All... I get inspriration from all... music is everywhere

13. What kind of gig would you prefer, low profile and intimate in a small club, or huge anthem type of set in a stadium ?

    Manuel Le Saux: It doesnt matter... in a small club but full u can feel the warm from the party people... big event is amazing but I think the dj is not in contact with the people...

14. Do You have any plans to work with anyone in the near future and who ?

    Manuel Le Saux: I've just finished a collaboration with my friend Digital Nature, I'm still working with Astuni and my collaboration with Senses will be out very soon... I really love to collaborate with artists

15. What do You think about drugs in the EDM culture ?

    Manuel Le Saux: Nothing.... everybody is free to do all... I'm not god to say that is right or that is wrong

16. Do You consider Yourself to be a better dj or a better producer ?


    Manuel Le Saux: Better dj

17. When did You discover Your love for house, especially EDM music ?

    Manuel Le Saux: House? never loved house

18. What other music styles beside EDM music You do You ever listen to, and at what occasions ?

    Manuel Le Saux: I listen almost all kind of music... classical music most of the time... Mozart is my favourite

19. What does being a club/radio Dj mean to You ?

    Manuel Le Saux: Well in club You have to make people JUMP, SCREAM, DANCE... in radio is different... You can play trax that You never play in club... just cause is more audiable than danceable

20. How has technology helped your discography ? In other words if it was the years of 80s, could You have done this ?

    Manuel Le Saux: Most of the 80's trax were played with real instrumens (real bass, real drum) now it's totally different... You can have all in Your PC...

21. Where do You see the future of the music industry given the Internet and how things are changing ?

    Manuel Le Saux: Good or bad ? If people will stop downloading illegal mp3 music will survive... if not... well will be hard for labels to survive

22. With the global success You have achieved, would You say this great success was produced by Your luck as artist or You feel You can take the EDM music to a next level ?

    Manuel Le Saux: It was produced by work.. if You work hard and good... You can do all.. it's all about time... but I really hope to do better and better in the future.

23. How would You define a good piece of music ? and better to name a few tho

    Manuel Le Saux: A good piece of music ? the Mozart's requiem... it's just perfect... it's music... and Mozart was a genious

24. Where and when do You find inspiration for your projects ? Is there a muse to inspire You ?

    Manuel Le Saux: No muse for me... I got inspirations from all the little things during my day
