| Interview with Digital Nature ( 22.12.2006 - 21:30 GMT UTC )
1. In how many years have You succeed to be what You are right now ?
Digital Nature: Well, I started producing about 2 years ago, had my first contract signed with UK label Monster Tunes in a matter of months, 5 or 6. So if you put your heard to it it's not really that hard to sign a record deal with a major label.
2. Did You trust other opinions regarding his music ?
Digital Nature: Yes, I did have a few people that I trust and ask them for feedback on my tracks, but most of the time I just go with the flow.
3. Who helped You out to be such a popular dj/producer ?
Digital Nature: Well I'm not really THAT popular, at least not yet. I see you're asking me about people that helped me become what I am today, well 2 names are coming in my mind: Simon "Brisky" Brisk (Label manager @ Monster Tunes UK) and Chris Hampshire (Label manager @ Recoverworld/Discover/Flux Delux), really great blokes.
4. Which was the 1st club where You ever played Your tracks ?
Digital Nature: I don't really recall the first club I've played, I think it was a local club from my hometown.
5. Do You think that one day will be invited to play @ Sensation ?
Digital Nature: Maybe, maybe not, but I'm not losing hope. Who knows what the future awaits.
6. Did You ever thought You will be such a good producer beside being a Dj ?
Digital Nature: This is a really hard one to answer, I just try to do my job, at my best and hope many people will appreciate and enjoy my tracks.
7. Where do You see Yourself in 3-4 years from now ?
Digital Nature: I see myself making trance music, and hopefully managing a record label.
8. According to Your biography and discography, I reckon You did a few smashing records tho, with Manuel le Saux, Ronski Speed, Mark Eteson.. etc etc You name it. Have You got any other future projects You wanna go large and tell us about it ?
Digital Nature: Yes, I'll be working with Manuel Le Saux again in the future, also with DJ Governor, Emotional horizons, Danny Oliveira, Robert Gitelman and many, many more.
9. How many alliases You have and what`s the style/genre You perform nowadays ?
Digital Nature: I have my main "Digital nature" guise, Anamnesis (with Frode Kambo Nielsen, half of Vascotia) for the trance tracks, but I intend to come up with a different alias for the techier tracks I'm doing lately.
10. Thinking that Trance was Your first love, related to music producing... are You having a second thought like starting over with a whole different style ?
Digital Nature: To be honest yes, I'm thinking of joining a rock band and start recording some Ambient/Post-rock tracks.
11. Please tell us the easiest and the hardest remix You ever did and for whom, also tell us what You have been using to create that remix aswell, thanks.
Digital Nature: Easiest remix, hmm, I think the remix I did for Monster Tunes/Monster Hard was "Steve Birch - Full throttle (Digital nature remix)", made that one in a matter of hours. And the hardest,... I think the remix I did for "Renovatio - High definition" for the first release of german High Light Records label, started the remix, almost finished it, but I wansn't happy with it at all so I decided to start it all over again. Good decision. Made them with my lovely Orion Platinum sequencer.
12. How long do You think it will take for Romanian EDM scene to look somehow like the ones we all know, I mean, all EDM lovers, such as Holland, Germany, Britain... and so on ?
Digital Nature: I'm kind of reserved about this, things are moving in the right direction, but really slow, so I'll say about 5-6 years.
13. Try to evolve in a few lines, the feeling that You have when You listen Your records played at local radio stations or over the Internet and not only.
Digital Nature: Goosebumps all over, it's so hard to describe, you have to feel it yourself.
