Above and Beyond Group Therapy review
A critic once stated that “Viva La Vida” by Coldplay would change the world. I have the same strong intent when it comes to Above & Beyond’s second artist album, “Group Therapy”.
Intended to touch the core of human emotions on the most basic but essential issues: love, life, and death.
We begin our journey into “Group Therapy” with “Filmic”, a soothing string of piano chords accompanied by the melodic tones of bells. Much like the beginning of a new life, “Filmic” is a soft, yet mysterious, transition into the rest of the album’s story. Read more
Solarstone presents Electronic Architecture 2
This new instalment may have gone through separately setup in terms of playlist and sound arrangement, but it’s Electronic Architecture, where electronic music meets art, therefore both merged together ended up in something that only Solarstone can come up with – Electronic Architecture volume 2 – having signed to his own label Solaris Recordings, being a reminiscent of EA origins. While as long as many albums, the “side-project” nature of the work allows Rich to break away from exploring every corner of his psyche and just have a very good approach when it comes to a showcased album. There aren’t many left who doubt Solarstone’s skills in general, but those who might be concerned that an EA album means “pure art in its sound full-force of imagination” can rest easy. For a veteran who has seen it all come and go, longevity is to be applauded. Read more

Kosheen discography is a pure legacy who’s is set in stone for sure. A front runner of the electronic music movement – whose roots extend all the way back in late ’90s, when the Bristol-based trio was created, been a fixture in the region. Their music style fluctuate from Drum’n'Bass in their early stage to Trip Hop and Techno and Tech House nowadays. The band still consists of the old format such as producers Mark Davies aka Markee Substance and Darren Beale aka Darren Decoder with female singer and song writer Sian Evans. Gareth Emery presents Northern Lights re-lit album released on Garuda Music
Same ambitious producer and label owner is bringing you yet another remixed album of his last year’s instalment, one of the most listened album of 2010, “Northern Lights” released on his own imprint, Garuda Music. This time around, Gareth Emery is trying to sum up the efforts of years worth of talented musicians releasing 10-plus tracks in the same window of time to come up with something different than what was the original album, therefore, here’s “Northern Lights Re-Lit” for you.
With remixes from Ashley Wallbridge, Arty, Hardwell, Beltek, John O’Callaghan, Super8 & Tab, Dennis Sheperd, Jordan Suckley, Langers, Daniel Kandi, Giuseppe Ottaviani, and Jorn van Devyhoven in this order, this new album has something unique and memorable. Their cutting edge music style made the album a must have for 2011. All the acts mentioned earlier, veterans or aspiring producers, are most likely attempting to capture the ‘northern light’ fever and make their own remix of it. Ministry of Sound presents Chilled House Session Two
The first CD begins with Eric Pryda’s brilliant vocal hit, “Niton (The Reason)”, added with a touch of Ministry of Sound flavour on the remixing duties. As the second track, and a club hit favourite, Kaskade & Deadmau5′s “Move for Me” might have been a better choice for an opening chilled compilation but nonetheless a good choice in the introduction.
The album begins to give reasons to move to with Michael Cassette’s mellow electro hit “Summer” which transitions well into the galactic monster Adam K & Soha call “Twilight”. Groove Armada’s remixed track of “History” acts as a medium transitioner to an upbeat Tensnake’s “Comacat”. The Round Table Knights mix is perfect fit for “Comacat”; however, is not a fit-able suitor for the previous track. This is not a reason to stray away. Ellie Goulding’s “Starry Eyed” will have your ears just as star-struck and gives you a chance to get off the couch and chill into a more danceable mode. Read more
Everything But The Girl - Missing (Greg Downey remix)
If there’s one thing Irish born Greg Downey succeeds at, it’s his remixing performances throughout the times. However, it took him a while to showcase his musically ability, to finalize a good remix of “Missing,” a pure creation, a track that almost every single person knows it, giving the listener goose bumps all over the body while playing it. This track, was chanted by people ever since it was released, mostly the ones that used to love Tracey Thorn’s voice and Ben Watt’s greatest musical experience, unique lyrics that still seemed to ring through the air after the track was released for so long. Released on One More Tune (OMT) label, a Warner Music Group (WMG) dance label, this time again, same as they did with Fedde Le Grand’s remix, a massive success, One More Tune (OMT) are pleased to announce that Greg Downey’s remix will be joining the single package for “Missing”. Lost Witness presents Fade Away released on Maelstrom Records
Since the late ‘90s, early 2000 Lost Witness has always been somewhat of a musical journey, a pure Trance producer who provides memorable tracks that walk the fine line between electronic dance music and vocal anthems. Working with producers Miguel Sassot, Paul Janes & Simon Kemper over the years, Lost Witness managed to write and produce many successful tracks. With the releasing of one of the most memorable tracks of that time, such as “Happiness Happening,” “Red Sun Rising” along with Tracy Carmen, “Wait for You” with Andrea Britton, or else these two amazing tracks “Home” and “Love Again” with the angelic voice of Tiff Lacey. Lost Witness is one of the few producers left that creates really genuine vocal productions to further explore Trance’s more ethereal sounds. There is so much to be said about this music sensation, Lost Witness, that it’s hard to even know where to start. There is his love for vocal tracks (working with so many female vocalists explains it all), audio quality, unique instrumental selection, his cutting edge melodic line, and the danceable mood. The list goes on. At least for the moment, the masses remembers him, most likely thanks to his entertainment value and productions. Read more
One More Tune presents Cream Chilled Electronic
To describe Cream as a “clubbing pioneers” would not be far from the truth.
