Aerofoil vs Marc Simz presents Blikkenslager on Armada Music

Aerofoil vs Marc Simz presents Blikkenslager on Armada MusicAerofoil vs Marc Simz – Blikkenslager

Dutchman Aerofoil continues his journey through Coldharbour Recordings in 2011 by teaming up with fellow countryman and good friend Marc Simz. Creating a name for themselves in their own right through production, their previous collaborations have been well received, yielding tracks such as Knights Templar, Somewhere and a remake of the classic Xplode.

Continuing with the recent trend of Coldharbour Red releases, they team up again to present the tongue-twisting titled Blikkenslager. Debuted on a hot July night where Markus Schulz played Global Gathering festivals in both Poland and Ukraine, the track excels in the large arena and outdoor settings, fusing tech-trance percussion with a bassline which resonates with typical modern day techno.

Identified by Aerofoil himself during his 2011 Coldharbour Day set, Blikkenslager has been one to watch out for over the past few months. It’s sure to heat up plenty of nights on the dancefloor in the run up to the holiday season. Read more

Paul Castle and Simon Langford caused some heavy damage when the original came out! ‘I Don’t Wanna Lose My Way’ hit # 14 in the UK national charts and was one of the highlights of Ibiza in 2001 with huge support from the likes of Pete Tong, Judge Jules, Paul van Dyk, Seb Fontaine, Tall Paul and of course the one and only Tiësto. Three Drives presents Letting You Go Greece 2000 on Armada Music

Three Drives presents Letting You Go Greece 2000 on Armada MusicThree Drives – Letting You Go (Greece 2000)

A historical piece of dance music, given a new voice and spin by German masterminds Dabruck & Klein and Dutch songwriter John Ewbank. ‘Letting You Go (Greece 2000)’ is a classic retouched fit to rule speakers once more.

Some musical pieces follow us in history, growing and moving along with time. One of them is ‘Greece 2000′. There’s something everlasting about this Three Drives On A Vinyl classic, first released in 1997. It’s been remixed hundreds of times and no matter how often you hear it, it never gets old.

For the ‘Hands On Armada Vol.2′ album, German producer duo Dabruck & Klein took on the challenge of remixing this ultimate classic to great success. They’ve given it more volume, more power and higher dance floor potential. ‘Letting You Go (Greece 2000)’ holds on to the future, without losing the past. Strong female vocals and contagious, warm layers of melodic house will make you ride this new musical wave, unable to stop moving!

The music video will be released on December 12th, but you can check out this teaser in the mean time! Read more

Luke Bond feat Emel presents Amaze on Armada Music

Luke Bond feat Emel presents Amaze on Armada MusicLuke Bond feat. Emel – Amaze

UK producer Luke Bond keeps the warm, flowing energy of trance going with his new track ‘Amaze’, perfectly at home on the Future Sound of Egypt label!

One of the biggest trance tracks of 2010, was the stunning musical piece of ‘Atlantis’, created by British duo Neptune Project and Luke Bond. This time, the UK producer takes a little musical trip of his own, with ‘Amaze’ showing us he’s definitely no one-hit-wonder. ‘Amaze’ has the energy and build-up of a raw techy track, but the break of a strong, sensitive and emotional trancer. It flows right in, leaving every clubber it meets in a state of awe.

Egyptian duo Fady & Mina, still recovering from their debut release on the FSOE label, have brought ‘Amaze’ even more warmth and uplifting energy, while the remix of Philippe El Sisi heads for the proggy side of things. Read more

Markus Schulz presents Los Angeles 12

Markus Schulz presents Los Angeles 12Markus Schulz unveils his new city compilation for 2012: It’s Los Angeles!

As part of a special video-cast, Markus Schulz – one of the 10 biggest DJs in the world – today announced that it would be the sprawling electronic dancetropolis of Los Angeles that’s been selected for his 2012 city compilation! Speculation had been mounting on forums over the last week that the honours could well fall the city’s way – in the final hours before the broadcast becoming the odds-on favourite among Schulz watchers. And that was indeed the way the compass swung! As the video’s countdown reached zero, it revealed the iconic cityscape of the album’s cover and confirmation that the series would return to North America next year.

Due to popular demand the stream went down, but in the video Markus unveiled LA as the city of choice. Markus said “electronic dance music has blown up huge in the United States this past year. One of the main reasons driving that is the scene in Los Angeles, where a new generation of clubbers are uniting with long-term fans and creating one of the most passionate scenes anywhere on the globe. I’ve played there many times in my career, at the Monster Massive festivals, the Electric Daisy Carnivals and for the last 3 years New Years Eves at Together As One, and they’ve all been so memorable in their own way. Armin van Buuren feat Adam Young presents Youtopia on Armada MusicArmin van Buuren feat Adam Young presents Youtopia on Armada Music

The next single of Armin van Buuren’s ‘Mirage’ album is the beloved, feel-good piece of ‘Youtopia’, featuring the unique vocals of Owl City singer Adam Young!

All the way from Minnesota in the US, a warm sounding male vocal found its way on a track of Armin van Buuren’s fourth artist album ‘Mirage’. The remarkable voice belongs to Adam Young, singer of Owl city, famous for synth-pop tracks like ‘Fireflies’ and ‘Umbrella Beach’. Despite the differences in their music, Armin and Adam took on the challenge to create something that combines the best of both worlds, coming together in ‘Youtopia’. A sparkling, vivid track with a positive vibe that’ll get stuck in your head in no-time.

Including a deep, proggy remix by Blake Jarrell, clubby prog-house translation by Michael Woods, maddening tech-house fix of Tocadisco and synth-soothing trancy remix of Re:Locate, ‘Youtopia’ brings you an all-around package that’ll definitely bring out a smile! Read more
