Aerofoil vs Marc Simz – Blikkenslager

Dutchman Aerofoil continues his journey through Coldharbour Recordings in 2011 by teaming up with fellow countryman and good friend Marc Simz. Creating a name for themselves in their own right through production, their previous collaborations have been well received, yielding tracks such as Knights Templar, Somewhere and a remake of the classic Xplode.

Continuing with the recent trend of Coldharbour Red releases, they team up again to present the tongue-twisting titled Blikkenslager. Debuted on a hot July night where Markus Schulz played Global Gathering festivals in both Poland and Ukraine, the track excels in the large arena and outdoor settings, fusing tech-trance percussion with a bassline which resonates with typical modern day techno.

Identified by Aerofoil himself during his 2011 Coldharbour Day set, Blikkenslager has been one to watch out for over the past few months. It’s sure to heat up plenty of nights on the dancefloor in the run up to the holiday season. Read more

Richard Beynon – Close To You

Richard Beynon is the latest headline signing to Perfecto Records. This super talented young producer originally hailing from the UK but now based out of Canada has already had a number of successes under his alias King Richard and here kicks of his affiliation with Perfecto in style with a beautifully crafted monster of a hit – “Close To You” featuring the infectious vocals of Aaron Shier. A certain future favourite for both radio and dancefloors worldwide “Close to You” is an indication of the quality and magnitude of records to come in the future from this rising star.

And as if the original wasn’t massive enough on it’s own the package comes with some seriously hot remixes too!

First up is a very special “Butterfly Terrace Mix” from none other than Starkillers. Three Drives – Letting You Go (Greece 2000)

A historical piece of dance music, given a new voice and spin by German masterminds Dabruck & Klein and Dutch songwriter John Ewbank. ‘Letting You Go (Greece 2000)’ is a classic retouched fit to rule speakers once more.

Luke Bond feat. Emel – Amaze

UK producer Luke Bond keeps the warm, flowing energy of trance going with his new track ‘Amaze’, perfectly at home on the Future Sound of Egypt label!

One of the biggest trance tracks of 2010, was the stunning musical piece of ‘Atlantis’, created by British duo Neptune Project and Luke Bond. Markus Schulz unveils his new city compilation for 2012: It’s Los Angeles!

As part of a special video-cast, Markus Schulz – one of the 10 biggest DJs in the world – today announced that it would be the sprawling electronic dancetropolis of Los Angeles that’s been selected for his 2012 city compilation! Speculation had been mounting on forums over the last week that the honours could well fall the city’s way – in the final hours before the broadcast becoming the odds-on favourite among Schulz watchers. And that was indeed the way the compass swung! As the video’s countdown reached zero, it revealed the iconic cityscape of the album’s cover and confirmation that the series would return to North America next year.

Due to popular demand the stream went down, but in the video Markus unveiled LA as the city of choice. Markus said “electronic dance music has blown up huge in the United States this past year. One of the main reasons driving that is the scene in Los Angeles, where a new generation of clubbers are uniting with long-term fans and creating one of the most passionate scenes anywhere on the globe.
