Sander van Doorn and Carol Lee presents Love is Darkness released on Doorn Records

In the world of EDM (Electronic Dance Music) talents, there are just a few entertainment powerhouses that have been as commercially successful as Sander van Doorn in the last couple of years. As a Dj, producer and remixer, he has acquired several top major awards and placed himself among the industry’s elite. With “Love is Darkness” he carries on his tradition of vocal abilities and continues to try his own voice at self-producing the track. Yes, as I have said before, this time Sander is showcasing his voice like never before, being the very first time when his fans can listen to his unique performance, being harmoniously sustained by a new female vocalist Carol Lee, all along.

With another New Year comes new music and who better to bring in the New Year than the explosive van Doorn. But this isn’t just another Sander classic bomb-builder; this is the producer’s first vocal track. And with most vocal, or tracks in general, love usually seems to be the main topic. A perfect choice since everyone can relate in one-way or another; but, don’t expect Sander to come out of his dark shell for this beauty.

Sander excels at versatility on his latest track, offering up some new features to appeal to the EDM demographic, songs for the lovers, and tunes for pained hearts. Listeners looking for something a little more from Sander, they will literally take pleasure in this track, therefore “Love is Darkness” takes our emotions into the deep and ‘dark’ side of love that we usually have trouble expressing. Carol Lee, songwriter of the hit Dutch alternative-rock band Bettie Serveet, vocally expresses the torn relationship that lives among every being.

Sander tweaked a little light melody yet still keeps his bass-line reputation throughout the track, that easily means the track seems dedicated to those romantic moments vs ‘the dark side’, to keep things moving along at a decent pace. This is a ripe combination for the winter season, which will become a spring season hit. None of the less, the track is a pleasant addition to the current EDM landscape.
