Alan Connor presents Sun Went Down released on Maelstrom
Alan Connor has had a pretty epic musical journey so far, therefore from a musical family, we got nothing else, but another artist, learning to sing and write songs ever since he was a youngster. Back in the days, starting with Darren Fox, they have formed the duo Equator, his very first approach into his music career, this being only the start of the show for Alan, enhancing the producing experience to make it big in the near future. Since then, Alan has released several successful tracks, such as “Time Is Tight” along Lonnie Gordon, or else “Here In My Heart” becoming a constant on the radio airwaves in the UK and also in the US. The track gains strength through this and it holds steady throughout his career, being the very first record that self-propelled him onto the right direction within the EDM spectrum.
One of the few artists of his generation that has built a career on making music that wasn’t dispensable, the fact that “Sun Went Down” is hard not to remember from now on, being released on New State Music and also being heavily supported by so many major names, such as Tiesto, Ferry Corsten and also Russian superstar, Bobina. Like any of his projects, he puts his heart into every song, and the fans are rewarded with a very personal project, therefore Beltek’s remix is something to shout about, being a track that it’s missing from every EDM lover’s CD case. “Sun Went Down” is quite simply perfect. It’s the type of track that gathered Alan such a devoted fan-base. Only the vocal version of the track included on some versions of the release increases the tracks value, showcases the emotive qualities of Alan’s voice, showing off his tenor ability. Beltek is in a league of his own, driving the listener to a danceable mood, with his arpeggio sound-a-like effect. Beltek does have the technical abilities of some of his peers, making the track a Dj friendly one and is absolutely flawless. Simon Sinfield’s remix is another solid track and is going to be loved by everyone. That may be some of what makes their sound so appealing to their loyal fans and not only. From a new listener’s perspective, their piano sound, makes the track so hard to forget. To wrap this EP, Alan chooses 7th Heaven’s remixes, coming strong with an alternative Radio Mix to it as well, showcasing Alan’s voice more then any others and also his own remix of the track, with a more Uplifting Progressive style, that really stands out.
Alan Connor is not the most known British producer, but he has a nice following and their supporters will not be disappointed with this track and he deserve a lot of credit for the way he handled the track here. Upon a few listens, his use of samples and clips truly stand out. From using informational soundbites, the producer add a lot to the track’s overall enjoyment.
