Exclusive interview with IAwake and Aiora
1. Thank you for taking the time to do this interview with TranceSound.net. First of all, congratulations on the release of your album, “Morph!” How did you two come about producing this project?
IAwake & Aiora: Thanks a lot! Well, we both performed separately at the Aurora Festival where we first met in 2008. After hanging out a couple of days a good friendship developed and Thomas decided shortly after to visit Dimitris in Crete, where he lived at the time, to hang out and to make music together. The idea of producing a whole album came naturally after our first collaboration with the track Yialiskari Dreams. Since we really like to work together and the fact that we produce similar music anyway made the decision easy to go full out.
2. Ever since first hearing the album, it has been on my sleep playlist. Was it sort of a goal to create an almost meditative production? Read more
Interview with Jason Carr
With the success of his own radio show, Euphoric Sound Sessions, and his overall crowd charm, Jason Carr is a rare example of that even mixing DJs can still thrive among the top performers. Orlando’s most energetic DJ tore the house down Wednesday August 4th in St. Petersburg, Florida during his biggest show to date: opener to Sander van Doorn. Many friends and family were in full attendance to show their support which in return gave Jason the title of house favorite for the evening. Even Sander’s own manager thought Jason possessed a little too much energy and was asked to “tone it down”. However Jason respectively declined yet transitioned well into the headliner’s set. Interview with Vadim Soloviev
1. How’s everything Vadim ? You have been missed ever since we had the first exclusive interview back in the days of 2007 or something.
Vadim Soloviev: Yo! All good and I’m happy to appear here again.
2. You have a very soulful sound, which is missing from Trance today, who influenced Your sound ?
Vadim Soloviev: To be honest its pretty hard to explain. Everything influences from day to day. The worst thing can happen is when you copy someone – sometimes you do that not even realizing this. But at the same time you have some fundamental influences from the past that keep you unique. I think that’s the main goal. Also never limit my music player with some particular genre because you never know where you will find something new. Read more

Interview with The Viceroy
1. First and foremost, I always wanted to know. Why did you opt to name yourself The Viceroy ?
The Viceroy: Haha well my real name didn’t really strike me as a good Dj name and I was 16 and needed a name to put on a flyer as a group of friends and I were putting on a night in Bristol. I was interested in politics, star wars had just come out in the cinema and there was a very good curry house nearby – there’s three options there for you to pick, I’ll leave it up to you to guess which one ?
2. Dancers and clubbers alike either know you now already, or will become familiar with you for and through your music. But, what do you want those same individuals to know about The Viceroy that they won’t get from your music so far ?
The Viceroy: Goodness knows!! It’s my music and giving clubbers a good time that I am really here to do so anything else I suppose is irrelevant. However if you are after a fact that not many people know the I once studied to play the organ at Bristol Cathedral… Read more
Interview with Jason Jollins
1. Tell me Jason, did you always know from even way back then that you wanted to make a career out of your music ?
Jason Jollins: I never had any intention of making a career out of music. I started playing the drums at the age of 6 and I was also very young when I started DJ’ing. When I was introduced to electronic dance music I absolutely loved it. I bought my first pair of turntables in 1989 and the art of Dj’ing has been a part of me ever since. I have been DJ’ing for most of my life and I was very fortunate to be picked up by the Intergroove Label Group when I started my record label in 2002. When I graduated from college I was working in the Online Advertising Industry for a few years while also juggling my DJ schedule. It just so happened that so many international offers for me to perform were coming in that I eventually quit my full time job and have been DJ’ing full time ever since. I have been very fortunate and it is a privilege to be able to share my passion on a consistent basis with friends and fans on a global level. Read more
